This donut cushion AND the Ergonomics Innovations company are amazing! First, the donut cushion – it’s comfortable, adds needed cushioning, has a removable washable cover, worth every penny, and saved my behind (literally and figuratively). I’m a teacher and used this while teaching my students through countless hours of distance learning, and my bottom and back would probably thank me if they could talk. If you are on the fence about purchasing it, stop thinking about it and go for it. Trust me, your bottom and back will truly benefit from your decision. Next, the company Ergonomics Innovations – I had difficulty removing the washable cover and contacted the company. Right away, Lucy, (didn’t know at the time that she’s the co-founder of Ergonomic Innovations, but she treated me with care as if it were hers) replied to my email. It was a pleasant surprise because she replied to my email in the evening, on a weekend, when most companies would’ve waited until Monday. The awesome part of this story is that Lucy offered to send me a replacement, which stands as a testimony to the reliability of the company and how they stand by their product – such wonderful customer service! She was sincere and went above and beyond to help me – truly amazing! My family and I are customers for life! Thank you, Lucy!

I used DRIVE medical cushion for years, but now they are made with really cheap foam, no support at all. do you use a firm foam or is it really soft. Will it support a 200# individual?

Thanks for the question. There is a zip that goes all the way around the base of the cover that allows you to remove it. Do you have one of the pillows and are unable to remove the cover?

Hi Kim

Thanks for your purchase and I hope that it works well for your Mom. In terms of incontinence, the cover is not waterproof therefore it would absorb into the foam and as the foam itself isn’t washable I would advise that you place a waterproof layer between the cover and the foam. This could be a plastic food wrap or bag – anything that prevents the foam from being penetrated. Hope this helps.
